The type of bulb you choose makes all the difference in the look and performance of your lighting fixture. But where to begin? Here’s everything you need to know.

Color temperature is measured on the Kelvin Scale, with the lower temperatures bringing warmer, yellower light and the higher temperatures adding cool, bright white light. Tip: For a soft glow, we look for a Warm White color temperature around 2700K.
Lumens refer to the brightness of the bulb, whereas wattage refers to how much energy is required to power it. Higher lumens = a brighter light, and higher wattage = higher energy consumption. Since LEDs need less energy no matter the brightness, those bulbs always have low wattage numbers.
